Gan Tack Guan, you bloody well appear in court on 10 February

After appearing once and making a boo-boo about plasticine you went missing because you knew you were in for some frying from defence counsel J Chandra and Gobind Deo, I am just hoping that that training course in Taiwan has taught you how to be a professional cop and thus throw back at Gobind the tag he tatooed on you, i.e. you are a useless investigator.

If you do not appear, I will suggest to the Police Instpector General, to have you assigned to an investigation that is not so taxing and that requires less investigatibe skills - go look for the three pairs of shoes stolen from Tun Daim's house.

Superintendant Gan Tack Guan, the chief investigator of the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu said that it was not C4 which was used to blow up her body. He said “If I am not wrong, one kind of plasticine explosive was used to blow up her body at an empty place at Puncak Alam.

It was not C4 (a type of explosive),” Supt Gan, who is Interpol’s National Centre Bureau assistant director based at Bukit Aman, told the packed courtroom.

Questioned further by Gobind Singh, Supt Gan said he did not know how the explosive was placed on the woman’s body before it was detonated.

“I was together with (another investigating officer) Asst Supt Tonny Lunggan," he said, prompting Gobind Singh to retort that “you are a useless investigating officer”.(Tonny is the guy who invited PI Bala for fish-head curry dinner the same day he made his first Statutory Declaration. YES?)

Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin claimed the prosecution was deliberately delaying his sedition trial when the complainant in his case was not available to be questioned by his defence team on Thursday 18 Dec 2008.

“Why must the prosecution bring this case to court today just to amend the charge and postpone it?,” Raja Petra, 58, told the Sessions Court.

“How long are we going to wait for Supt Gan Tack Guan (chief investigator in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case and the complainant in Raja Petra’s sedition trial)?

“He was on medical leave earlier and is now gone for training,” he said

(The court went into recess to await the Medical Certicate. I just wonder if the MC was obtained from a Government Hospital, as required, and did it indicate that the applicant was unfit for work?)

What training! He is training on how to 'manufacture evidences' and how to fine tune the art of cut and paste job.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Supt Gan Tack Guan (chief investigator in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case) was not subpoenaed. Then why fix date for trial if one is not serious about attending court. The courts should know better. The training could have been postponed. Even the courts do not uphold the constitution.

Lawyer Gobind Singh Deo asked the court to direct the prosecution to close the case if they were unable to call Supt Gan to be cross-examined.

“Supt Gan is aware that the hearing has been fixed for four days but he deliberately chose to go away. He is a police officer and should know the procedure,” he contended.

Rozina said Supt Gan was not subpoened and set three days from Feb 10 for continuation of the trial.
